Game 7 of the 2025 World Series was a perfect representation of the series as a whole. Shocking moments and extreme intensity were a mainstay for all seven games.

In Game 7, the L.A. Dodgers secured a 5-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in extra innings to become the first back-to-back champs since the New York Yankees in 2000.

The end of the ninth inning was nearly a walk-off hit for the Blue Jays. Ernie Clement sent a fly ball deep, but Andy Pages made a spectacular catch after colliding with Kiké Hernández to force extra innings.

After two fiery extra innings that saw Will Smith hit a solo home run to give the Dodgers a 5-4 lead, L.A. pulled off a double play to seal the game and repeat as champions. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was rightfully named World Series MVP after throwing a total of 235 pitches, including crucial ones in Game 7 on zero days of rest.

While Dodgers legend Clayton Kershaw is officially retiring as a three-time champion, the team he’s leaving behind looks like it’s just getting started.
