The Los Angeles Lakers opened their 2025-26 NBA season without their star player, LeBron James. No worries, Lakers fans, they still had Luka Doncic.

Doncic did not disappoint, as he recorded 43 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Unfortunately for Doncic, it wouldn’t be enough.

The Warriors saw a balanced attack, with Jimmy Butler scoring 31 and Stephen Curry dropping 23. Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield added 17 apiece.

The Warriors won 119-109, securing the victory while the Lakers are left wondering if they can stay afloat until LeBron returns.
