New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel spoke to reporters on Wednesday, his first time doing so since missing Day 3 of the NFL Draft last month to seek counseling.

After a number photos emerged showing Vrabel together romantically with NFL insider Dianna Russini, Vrabel stepped away from the team on the third day of last month’s draft. He did so to seek counseling and prioritize his family.
Just before Wednesday’s OTAs, Vrabel spoke to the media about a number of topics.
“My family is great,” he said. “I love [my wife] Jen. I love the boys [Tyler and Carter]. I love my personal friends.”
While he wasn’t specifically asked about the Russini scandal, Vrabel reiterated that his focus is on coaching.
“We all have to deal with things outside of here,” he said. “My focus and the excitement I have for coaching is what is most important right now. This is a great opportunity, the spring. We don’t have to worry about opponents. Our schedule is pretty much the same.”
Vrabel previously confirmed he had already spoken to Patriots players about the scandal and about his temporary absence in April. When asked if he anticipated missing more time, he left the door open.
“I mean, I can only tell you I’m gonna be there today, and I can’t tell you anything other than I’m gonna be out there today in full force,” Vrabel said. “And I mean that because, you know, who knows what’s gonna come up? Anything could happen. And so I’m gonna focus on today.”
