TJ McConnell has done it again. He’s made more NBA Finals history after his incredible Game 6 performance.

McConnell scored 12 points, while adding nine rebounds, six assists, and four steals in Game 6. His performance went beyond stats, however.
McConnell’s energy lifted the Pacers and got the crowd to cheer louder than they already were. His hustle and willingness to do the little things are what make him a special player.
After the first six games of the series, McConnell became the first bench player in NBA Finals history to record 60+ points, 25+ assists, and 15+ rebounds.

Pacers teammates praise TJ McConnell
McConnell is the type of player you want on your team. His Pacers teammates proved this after Game 6 by showering him with praise.
“It’s no surprise what TJ does out there,” Obi Toppin said. “Any time he comes into the game, the crowd loves him, and he feeds off of that. He had a great start to the game, and it got us going. Brought juice into the game, energy into the game.”
The Pacers’ star guard, Tyrese Haliburton, hilariously called McConnell the “Great White Hope” after the game. This shows how much love and chemistry the players have with McConnell.
As for the feisty sixth man, he explained what drove him to come out with such energy in Game 6.
“We were going home if we didn’t come out and give everything we have and leave it all out on the floor,” McConnell said. “We have another opportunity to do that on Sunday.”
McConnell is absolutely right. The Pacers have one more chance to give everything they have on the floor.
