The Minnesota Timberwolves were not going to go down 3-0. They came out with a vengeance in Game 3, taking a 34-14 lead after one quarter.

The Timberwolves maintained their strong performance in the second quarter, leading 72-41 at halftime and all but securing a Game 3 victory.

The Timberwolves would certainly secure the victory as OKC never made it a game in the second half. Minnesota won 143-101, bringing the series to 2-1, with OKC still leading.

Anthony Edwards had a huge game, scoring 30 points on 12-17 shooting. Julius Randle had his worst game of the year in Game 2, scoring six points on a dismal 2-11 shooting.

In Game 3, things would go differently for Randle. He scored 24 points on 9-15 shooting. Randle also posted a game-high +38 in plus-minus rating.

The MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, had an off game. SGA scored only 14 points while shooting 4-13 from the field. This clearly was his worst performance of the postseason, one he’ll look to rebound from in Game 4.

OKC has been mediocre on the road during the playoffs. With their Game 3 loss in Minnesota, the Thunder are now just 3-3 on the road during the postseason.

OKC will likely make the correct adjustments and come out with more energy in Game 4. The only problem is the Timberwolves will likely be pumped up once more, as they look to tie the series at 2-2.
