The Oklahoma City Thunder’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night was a matchup where two of their biggest stars were absent due to injuries. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for OKC and Luka Doncic for LA.
Still, the Lakers had LeBron James on the court, while the Thunder boasted Jalen Williams. The Lakers fought hard against the Thunder, leading by eight points in the third quarter.
Even without the regaining MVP, SGA, the Thunder proved they are the superior team. OKC showcased its top-tier defense in the fourth, holding LA to 19 points while scoring 26 themselves.
The Thunder secured their 41st victory behind Williams’ 23 points. OKC won 119-110, as they overcame LeBron’s 22 points and 10 assists.
