Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors are preparing for their Game 7 matchup against the Houston Rockets tonight. With all the pressure falling onto one game, how will Curry perform?

In his legendary career, Curry has played in five Game 7s, with a record of 3-2. Curry’s first Game 7 came in the First Round of the 2014 playoffs against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers won 126-121, despite 33 points from Curry. His second win-or-go-home game came in the Western Conference Finals in 2016 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
This was the year the Warriors looked to be invincible, winning 73 games during the season. It was a shock when the Warriors were pushed to a seventh game against OKC, but Curry and his squad came up big.
Curry scored 36 points, leading the Warriors to a 96-88 victory. The very next series, the NBA Finals, is the most famous Game 7 of Curry’s career, and the outcome wasn’t what any Warriors fan wanted.
Not only did the Cleveland Cavaliers upset the Warriors 93-89, Curry struggled. He shot 6-19 from the field, including 4-14 from three. Curry scored only 17 in the loss, his lowest output in a Game 7.
Curry found himself back in another Game 7 during the 2018 Western Conference Finals. This time, his Warriors faced the Houston Rockets and Curry was ready to redeem himself.
Curry scored 27 points, including shooting 7-15 from deep. The Warriors won 101-92 and would go on to defeat the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
The final Game 7 of Curry’s career is undoubtedly his best. It was against the Sacramento Kings in the 2023 First Round, and Curry set a then-record for most points scored in a Game 7.
Curry dropped 50 points on 20-38 shooting, including 7-18 from three. The Warriors won 120-100, cementing Curry’s legacy in Game 7s.
