He is unarguably the greatest shooter in NBA history and one of the greatest players in the league, but Stephen Curry’s unselfishness also plays a role in him being a four-time champion.
Curry embraced another superstar, Kevin Durant, as a teammate and it helped him win two of his four titles. He’s mentored Jimmy Butler and both have Golden State with a 2-1 series lead over the Rockets in round one of the Western Conference playoffs. Game four between both teams is Monday night at 9 p.m. from the Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif.

The 37-year-old is pursuing his fifth NBA Championship, but he has received a significant award.
According to NBA Communications via social media, Curry earned the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year honor.

Curry models the Warriors mentality of “strength in numbers” as he’s welcomed many personalities to assist him in becoming a champion. He’s been a joy to Butler, who is looking for his first league championship, as the former Miami Heat guard looks to Curry as Batman. Curry, Butler, and Draymond Green are locked in for a title journey.
His unselfishness paid off with Durant, but we will see how it works for Curry with Butler.
