At 9:12 a.m. 433 posted via twitter that Mamelodi Sundowns and South African midfielder Jayden Adams has died at age 25.

Adams played in all three of South Africa’s group stage matches, subbing in each game.
He did not play in their round of 32 match against Canada.
His death was confirmed by the South African Football Players Union and the Ministry of Sport, Arts & Culture, but no cause of death has been released.
At 11:08 a.m. Mamelodi Sundowns released a brief statement on Adam’s death, wishing his family the best and asking to give his loved one’s privacy.
