The Buffalo Sabres are playing in the playoffs for the first time since the 2010-11 season, and their ticket prices are skyrocketing. It is set to be one of the most expensive first-round tickets of all time.

Playoff tickets were first made available to season-ticket holders. After that, single-game tickets to the public will be extremely limited.

The Sabres are having one of their greatest seasons in franchise history. With one game to go, the team sits at 108 points, with a 50-23-8 record. It’s the first time they have had 50-plus wins in a season since 2005-06 and the first time they have 100 points in a season since 2009-10.

The Sabres playoff opponent still has yet to be determined. They will either play the Boston Bruins or Ottawa Senators. They will also have home ice advantage in the series regardless of the opponent. The opening game will either be on April 18 or 19.
