The Miami Dolphins recently benched quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in favor of rookie Quinn Ewers, who will get his first career start on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport is now reporting that the Dolphins are expected to part ways with Tagovailoa and keep head coach Mike McDaniel.

The former Alabama star is likely to be traded, according to Rapoport.
“They could try to trade him and eat some of that money, that is their preferred option, and maybe, the most likely,” Rapoport said. “They could also keep him as a highly paid backup, although I would say that is unlikely.”
Through 14 games this season, Tagovailoa has 2,660 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns and 15 interceptions. The Dolphins have a record of 6-8 going into Sunday’s game.
