The Toronto Raptors pulled off a dramatic 116-115 overtime victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in the opener of a back-to-back series. Scottie Barnes delivered a superstar performance, leading Toronto with 31 points on 10-19 shooting, eight assists, and seven rebounds.

The Raptors were dealing with injuries, like being without RJ Barrett and Brandon Ingram. So, Barnes needed to step up and he did, sealing the win by calmly hitting the first of two free throws with just 0.8 seconds left in overtime. He intentionally missed the second to run out the clock and secure the victory.

Jamal Shead added a career-high 22 points, including some clutch plays toward the end of the game. Immanuel Quickley chipped in 20 points, while rookie Collin Murray-Boyles contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds, which tied his career high.

For the 76ers, Tyrese Maxey exploded for a game-high 38 points, keeping Philly in contention throughout. Without Joel Embiid, who missed due to injury management, Maxey just didn’t get enough help.

The Raptors improved to 24-16 on the season while the 76ers fell to 21-16.
