Brady Tkachuk joins his brother Matthew Tkachuk in Florida after years of speculation. He recorded 59 points in 60 regular-season games and was held pointless in Ottawa’s first-round exit.
After captaining the Senators since 2021, the 26-year-old will play for a different franchise for the first time in his career. The Panthers missed the playoffs after back-to-back Stanley Cups, but will surely be one of the favorites to win it all as Florida returns to health.
Captain Aleksander Barkov missed the entire season, while several other key players also missed significant time because of injuries
The Panthers acquired the 25th-overall pick earlier today from the Seattle Kraken in exchange for Mackie Samoskevich.
