The Green Bay Packers have released veteran kicker Brandon McManus. The team drafted kicker Trey Smack in the sixth round last month.

McManus had been with the Packers since 2024. In 2025, he made 24 of 30 field goals along with 32 of 33 extra points. However, in the Packers’ Wildcard game against the Chicago Bears, McManus missed two field goals and an extra point, and the team lost 31-27. Green Bay paid a $1 million bonus to McManus in March.

McManus spent nine seasons with the Denver Broncos before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023. He has hit 82.0% percent of all field goals as well as 97.4% of extra points. He also won a Super Bowl with the Broncos in 2015.
