Oregon Ducks men's basketball defeated Eastern Washington Eagles 98-71 on Friday night in Eugene.
Wei Lin scored 20 points off the bench, hitting 7 of 9 shots and sinking three 3-pointers. Fred Payne contributed 16 points — 14 before halftime — and made all four of his 3-point attempts in the first half. Oregon led 53-39 at intermission after shooting 63% from the field.

Pharaoh Compton scored 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting. Malique Ewin recorded 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. The Ducks shot 60% overall and held a 28-point lead late in the game.
Malachi Richmond led Eastern Washington with 14 points. Jamil Miller added 13 and Alton Hamilton IV scored 10. The Eagles fell to 0-2.
This was the first meeting between the teams since the 2020–21 season. Oregon is 5-0 against Eastern Washington. The Ducks are 2-0 this season.
Dana Altman retired as head coach on October 7. Tony Stubblefield, who spent 13 years as an Oregon assistant, became interim head coach.
Eastern Washington plays at Oregon State on Monday. Oregon hosts Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday.
