The Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls entered their matchup tonight both 5-1 on the season. Only one could secure their sixth victory and it was the Bulls.

The 76ers looked like the superior team almost the entire game. They scored 45 points in the first quarter and held a 24-point lead halfway through the first half.

In fact, the 76ers led the entire game… until 3.2 seconds remaining in the game. That’s when Nikola Vucevic drilled a three-pointer, giving the Bulls a 113-111 victory.

In the game, Vucevic finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Giddey had another spectacular game for the Bulls, recording another triple-double with 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists.

This is Giddey’s second straight triple-double, making him just the second Bulls player to achieve this feat. The other is Michael Jordan in the 1988-89 season.

Chicago is now 6-1 and sits atop the Eastern Conference standings alone. This was not something anyone had on their bingo cards. But Bulls fans are loving it.
