There is simply no way of stopping the three-time NBA MVP. Nikola Jokic proved this Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers when he went off for 55 points in the Denver Nuggets’ 130-116 victory.

Jokic shot an efficient 18-23 from the field, which included going 5-6 from three-point range. The Joker also added 12 rebounds and six assists.

Jokic failed to record a triple-double because the Clippers decided to focus on making him the only offensive weapon on the Nuggets. This clearly backfired.
“Yeah, we wanted to trap,” Clippers head coach, Tyronn Lue said. “Tried to double, once he got going. Our game plan was to make him score, just take away his passing, take everybody else out of the game. I thought the first half, we did a good job with that. We knew Jamal Murray would be more aggressive in the second half. But I didn’t think he would score 55.”
Jokic is on a mission. He wants to win another NBA championship. If he continues to play this way, the Nuggets will be hard to defeat.
