Anthony Edwards

Another NBA veteran weighs in on Anthony Edwards’ comments

Anthony Edwards posts up against Grayson Allen.

By now it’s no secret that Anthony Edwards‘ recent comments about past NBA eras are strongly disputed by former players and fans alike. Sacramento Kings star DeMar DeRozan is the newest veteran player to disagree with Edwards. On a recent episode of “Podcast P with Paul George“, DeRozan weighed in on the subject.

“I was trying to understand where he was coming from,” DeRozan said. “But I know from my point of view, I would never discredit or undermine anybody who came before me.”

The comments in question were made recently by Edwards, where he claimed that Michael Jordan was the only player from his era with substantial skill. Since then, former players such as Magic Johnson and Kevin Garnett have fired back at Edwards, while current players like DeRozan and Paul George seem to be a little more understanding but still disagree with his statements.

Edwards is coming off of his first Olympic outing where he won gold with Team USA and he seems confident in both his abilities and in his trash talk.
