Tom Thibodeau appeared to be the perfect head coach for the New York Knicks. He helped turn the franchise around, leading New York to the postseason in four out of five seasons.

This includes this year, where he led the Knicks to their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2000. They failed to reach the Finals, but with a 226-174 overall record with the Knicks, it seemed like Thibs would be back next season.

Then came the shocking firing of Thibodeau. The Knicks’ front office was clearly not happy with how this season ended and coach Thibs got the brunt of the blame.

After the news hit of the shocking firing, fans flooded social media with reactions.

Most fans are in agreement that the blame should not be on coach Thibodeau. The Knicks will now look for another coach while Thibs will likely not be out of a job for long as he is an excellent head coach.
