Anthony Edwards is the face of the NBA’s young stars, and his play has caught the eye of basketball legend Michael Jordan. In a recent conversation with former NBA Inside Stuff host Ahmad Rashad, Jordan expressed his admiration for Edwards’ approach to the game.

During a sit‑down with Rashad, Edwards was informed about Jordan’s thoughts on his performance. Rashad shared that he had spoken with Jordan, who appreciates how defenses are now double‑teaming Edwards as a sign of respect, recognizing him as the primary offensive threat for the Timberwolves.

Jordan’s words, as conveyed by Rashad, were: “He said he loves the passion you have on both ends of the floor.” He further advised, “He said you need to continue improving your game, accepting challenges, and thriving. And he knows you’re the type of person who has that determination.”

Edwards has a history with Jordan that dates back to before the 2020 NBA Draft, when Jordan attended one of his pre‑draft workouts. Edwards has sought guidance from Jordan at times since 2020, including asking for tips on dealing with double‑teams.

Receiving such praise from Jordan, often compared to Edwards due to their shared explosive athleticism and bold playing style, means a lot to the rising star. It showcases Edwards’ potential to become one of the NBA’s elite players.
