The Utah Mammoth have acquired center Vincent Trochek from the New York Rangers in exchange for Sean Durzi, Cole Beaudoin and a third-round pick.

Trochek, 32, recorded 53 points in 67 games for the Rangers last season after missing time due to a bacterial infection in one of his lungs. He brings a strong defensive presence to a young Mammoth core and scored 77 points throughout his last 82-game season in 2023-24.

Durzi is a strong two-way defenseman who can play big minutes behind Adam Fox and Vladislav Gavrikov in New York, something the team missed last season.

Trochek has two years remaining on his $5.6 million contract, and projects to be Utah’s second-line center.
