The Los Angeles Lakers were back in action on Thursday after defeating the Houston Rockets 124-116 the night before. On Thursday they faced Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat.

There wouldn’t be any 83-point game, nor any 13-14 shooting from the field performance. But we would see some pretty close comparisons.

At the start of the game, the Heat were ready to jump out on the tired team from Tinseltown. Miami scored 42 points in the opening quarter, taking a 13-point lead into the second quarter.

LeBron James, who was the player who shot 13-14 in yesterday’s game, continued his hot shooting. LeBron shot a perfect 5-5 from the field in the first half, continuing his stellar shooting from the field. Unfortunately for LA, the Lakers trailed 65-59 at halftime.

LeBron pushed his hot shooting to 7-7 after three quarters, while Luka Doncic played superbly. Doncic scored 40 points after three quarters.

This includes 19 in the third. The Lakers took full control of the game, taking a 97-88 lead into the fourth quarter.

Doncic continued to play out of his mind, dropping 20 more in the fourth quarter, pushing his total in the game to 60 points. This certainly was a statement game from Doncic.

As for LeBron and his hot shooting, he finished the game with a 19-point, 15-rebound, and 10-assist triple-double on 8-12 shooting.

The Lakers defeated the Heat 134-126, while holding Adebayo to 28 points.
