While playing for Slovenia, Doncic was on a roll, scoring 15 points in the first quarter.
Doncic continued his hot streak in the second quarter, taking a stat line of 26 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals into halftime. In the third quarter, Doncic’s teammate would fall into him, causing Doncic to get up limping, while asking to be taken out of the game.
Doncic would not return and Lakers fans wondered how serious the injury was. Luckily, reports have come out stating the injury is not serious.
Slovenia’s EuroBasket opener against Poland begins on August 28. It’s unclear if Doncic will play as of now.
