The Detroit Lions have released cornerback Terrion Arnold just five days following his arrest on Wednesday, June 24. Arnold is being charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of battery. He was released on a $1 million bond by a Florida judge.

Arnold surrendered to a warrant on June 24, facing charges that carry up to life in prison. The Florida state’s attorney’s office has accused Arnold of “coordinating and directing” the robbery and beating of Arnold’s personal driver and two of the driver’s associates by Arnold’s codefendants. Arnold accused the driver of stealing upwards of $250,000 in cash and goods from an Airbnb he was renting in February in Largo, Florida.
The driver has denied any involvement in the theft, and the Largo Police consider the case inactive.
Over the course of two seasons with the Lions, Arnold appeared in 24 games. He finished with 91 tackles, 18 pass deflections, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
