LeBron James notches triple-double in decisive win over Spurs

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 119-101 on Wednesday night in arguably the season’s best team effort yet.

The Spurs held a one-point lead early before the Lakers went on a 21-10 scoring run to end the first quarter and from then on, the Lakers led the whole way. San Antonio made a strong effort to come back, but the Lakers seemed to match every Spurs bucket with one of their own.

LeBron James recorded his sixth triple-double of the season with 16 points, 11 assists and ten rebounds. Every Lakers starter had at least 13 points and rookie Dalton Knecht boasted a team-high 20 points on the night.

Victor Wembanyama put up 20 points, ten rebounds and three blocks, but the Spurs shot just 42% from the field compared to L.A.’s blistering 53% night.

The Spurs drop to 10-9 on the season while the Lakers move to 11-7 after breaking their three-game losing streak.
