LeBron James is nearing the end of his historic NBA career. There’s no denying that.

LeBron understands this, and he is firmly against going out like one of his idols did.

A report has come out stating that LeBron wants a retirement tour like Kobe Bryant had in his last NBA season. He also doesn’t want to be like Michael Jordan on the Washington Wizards.

“If he wants to do a farewell tour like Kobe did, it’s the only other team that makes sense,” an executive said. “LeBron cares about narratives. He doesn’t want to be like Michael Jordan on the Wizards.”

Jordan was a shell of himself as a member of the Wizards, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t good. In fact, before tearing his meniscus in February of 2002, Jordan was an MVP candidate.

Still, the injury occurred and Jordan failed to lead the Wizards to the postseason. In his two seasons with the Wizards, Jordan averaged 21.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.

How will LeBron’s career finish out?
