LaVar Ball supports his sons no matter what. It doesn’t matter if they are hurt, playing badly, or traded to a new team—he supports them.

Lonzo Ball was recently traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is, in a sense, a great move personally for Lonzo, as he is now on a contending team.

LaVar spoke about Lonzo joining the Cavaliers in an appearance on ESPN Cleveland.

“Lonzo’s always been that piece you need for a championship—they’ve got to make everyone better,” LaVar said. “So, Cleveland just moved up to being the No. 1 team for the East.”

LaVar went on to speak about Lonzo’s injury concerns.

“Yeah, he’s had some problems in the past,” LaVar said. “You’re always going to have problems when you’re trying to carry everybody on your back! When you’ve got all of this help now, I don’t see why they can’t win the championship.”

Lonzo, when healthy, is an excellent player. The fact that he joins an already strong Cleveland team should allow him to impact winning basketball.

If Lonzo stays healthy next season and he’s playing at the top of his game, don’t be surprised if the Cavaliers reach the NBA Finals.
