The NFL regular season concluded on Sunday and the Las Vegas Raiders wasted no time parting ways with head coach Pete Carroll after just one season.

Despite ending the year off with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs, they officially parted ways with Carroll Monday morning.

“The Las Vegas Raiders have relieved Pete Carroll of his duties as head coach,” the team said in a statement. “We appreciate and wish him and his family all the best. Moving forward, General Manager John Spytek will lead all football operations in close collaboration with Tom Brady, including the search for the club’s next head coach.”

The Raiders finished with a record of 3-14 this season and will now begin searching for their sixth head coach since 2021.

It’s the first time since 1994 that Carroll has been fired from a head coaching job, but the Raiders ranked nearly dead last in every major offensive metric.

After a troublesome season, the Raiders will enter the offseason with the No. 1 pick in the draft and a new head coaching vacancy.
