In the first inning of Saturday’s matchup between the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners, Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. completed a double play after making an insane catch.
Mariners batter Randy Arozarena cracked a line drive that was headed right towards McCullers’ face, but he somehow got his glove up just in time to make the stunning catch.
Then he flipped the ball to second baseman Jose Altuve for the double play. It could easily have been a serious injury, but McCullers’ quick reflexes turned it into a highlight play.
