LaMelo Ball talks about his five-year, $260 million extension

LaMelo Ball recently talked about his new extension with the Hornets in a press conference. The young star explained why he chose to expand his career in Charlotte.

Via AP NEWS:

“Where we at, I feel like we are all growing together,” Ball said. “I think it’s just a great position, and I think we are all going the right way now. All my years here, I’ve had a good time. Life wasn’t bad. The basketball aspect, if that’s not really going well, then you want to just live your life and have fun. You want to be living well, and in Charlotte, I’m doing that. It all just felt like a great choice.”

With Ball being the future of the Hornets, can he continue to raise the level of his play and get Charlotte back into the postseason?

This past season, Ball averaged 23.3 PPG, 6.4 RPG, and 8.4 APG while shooting 41.1% from the field and 37.6% from 3PT range. Can Ball raise these numbers in the 2023-24 season? We’ll find out when the new season starts.
