Ball has played in nine games this season putting up averages of 21.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 9.6 assists per game. He hasn’t received the type of help needed to compete in the league.
In Charlotte’s last game against the Indiana Pacers, who entered the game with just one win, the Hornets lost 127-118. Ball hasn’t publicly stated a desire to leave, but the fact that Ball sat out the last 4:32 of regulation against Indiana has fueled this rumor.
Time will tell if Ball really wants out of Charlotte or if this is just early-season frustration.
