The Charlotte Hornets lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 125-119 in what was a masterclass performance from LaMelo Ball. The former Rookie of The Year had a career-high 50 points to go along with ten assists, five rebounds and six threes made. He is now the first player in franchise history to finish a game with that statline and the second Hornets player to score 50 points in a game.
The Bucks’ star duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard were playing on the same page and Milwaukee was in the lead for the vast majority of the matchup.

Antetokounmpo finished with 32 points, 11 rebounds and six assists while Damian Lillard contributed 31 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Ball wasn’t the only Hornets player with a strong outing as Brandon Miller had 32 points and eleven rebounds.
With season averages of 30.2 points, 6.9 assists and 4.9 rebounds, Ball has been tormenting his defenders all season and while it’s been good enough to be the 8th seed, Charlotte will need more overall contributions in order to become a serious playoff threat.
