France forward Kylian Mbappé (10) reacts to a referee call during a 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 32 match between France and Sweden

France reminded the entire world of just how dangerous of a team they truly are after rolling past Sweden in shutout fashion on Tuesday.

The win marks France’s fourth match in a row where they have scored three or more goals.

France expectedly dominated possession, holding 65% of the possession thorough the first 20 minutes.

In the 20th, it seemed that Kylian Mbappé had put France ahead with a quick break away.

But the offsides flag would nullify the goal, keeping the match even at 0.

France’s high press would continue, however, with Mbappé taking yet crack at net, but missing just wide and striking the post.

Michael Olise would look to score an incredible bicycle kick goal in the 36th minute.

But he too would the hit post.

Ousmane Dembélé collected the rebound, but would put his shot wide.

France would outshoot Sweden in the first half 15 to three, but it would be their final shot on target that would put them ahead.

On Mbappé’s fourth time of asking, he would finally manage to find the back of the net.

The French would lead 1-0 as the first half came to an end, looking to do more of the same in the second.

And France wasted absolutely no time securing their second goal of the match.

In the 53rd minute, Bradley Barcola would receive a perfect through ball from Olise, striking home the pass and doubling France’s advantage.

In the 61st minute, Swedish goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterström would deny Olise a third for France.

Zetterström w0uld continue to have a busy day, with Olise looking for another opportunity on net in the 72nd.

But again, Zetterström would make the save, denying Olise another goal.

However, France just would not stop, with Mbappé looking for a brace.

And in the 74th minute, he would find it.

Following a pass into the box from Olise, Mbappé would strike home his opportunity for his second of the match.

France would take their three-goal advantage to the full-time whistle, rolling past Sweden and securing their match up against Paraguay at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
