Rookie star Kon Knueppel broke the Charlotte Hornets’ franchise record for the most three-pointers in a single season on Thursday.
The milestone came in the fourth quarter of the Hornets’ 127-107 win over the Phoenix Suns at home. He’s now knocked down 261 threes and counting, surpassing Kemba Walker‘s mark of 260 in 2018-19.
He finished the game with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting while going 4-of-9 from deep.
Knueppel is currently locked into a tight battle with Dallas Mavericks star and former Duke teammate Cooper Flagg for the Rookie of the Year award.
He’s already surpassed Keegan Murray for the most threes ever made by a rookie and is now on track to crack the top 20 all-time list in threes made in a season.
