The New York Knicks took over the second quarter on Friday as they took down the Philadelphia 76ers 108-94 to take a 3-0 series lead.

The first quarter was largely controlled by Paul George and the Sixers. George dropped 15 points in the first frame as Philadelphia was ahead for the entire period.

The Knicks quickly turned the tide in the second, getting out on the fastbreak while pounding the paint. New York played better in virtually every way in the second quarter, entering halftime with an eight-point lead.

Friday’s battle saw a heightened level of physicality in the second half as back-and-forth scoring runs became the norm.

Philadelphia managed to slowly trim away at the lead in the third, just for the Knicks to catch fire at the end of the quarter to remain ahead by nine.

In the final frame, the Sixers couldn’t gain momentum as the Knicks went on one more big scoring run to seal the victory.

Jalen Brunson led the way for New York with 33 points, five rebounds and nine assists.

For the Sixers, Kelly Oubre Jr. had 22 points and eight rebounds and Joel Embiid finished with 18 points, six rebounds and five asissts.
