New York Giants legend and Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was hospitalized in New Jersey on Friday following a medical emergency, according to multiple reports.

No details surrounding his condition have been made public, but the 67-year-old was taken to a local emergency room and remains hospitalized. TMZ has reported that those close to Taylor believe it’s not life-threatening.

It is currently unclear how long he will remain hospitalized.

Taylor is widely regarded as the league’s best linebacker ever and one of the greatest defensive players of all time. He finished his career as a two-time Super Bowl Champion and 10-time Pro Bowler.

He won the MVP in 1986 as well as Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in 1981.

As one of the all-time greats, Taylor revolutionized the game of football and changed what it meant to be a linebacker.
