Wide receiver George Pickens has agreed to sign the franchise tag with the Dallas Cowboys. The deal is worth $27.3 million.

The Cowboys initially placed the franchise tag on Pickens back in March to keep him off the free agent market. Pickens is now expected to sign the franchise tag and participate in the Cowboys’ offseason programs next week. The franchise will not negotiate a long-term deal with Pickens in 2026. He will become a free agent in 2027.

Pickens thrived in his first season with the Cowboys. He finished the season with 93 receptions, for 1,429 yards, and nine touchdowns. All of these were career highs for Pickens, and he even finished third in the league for receiving yards. He was also named to his first Pro Bowl and was named to the Second-Team All-Pro.
