The Indiana Pacers taking a 3-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals has shocked many. They are one win away from knocking out the New York Knicks and securing their place in the NBA Finals.

The Pacers were not the team expected to come out of the East and reach the Finals. That didn’t matter to Indiana.

All season long they played hard, figuring out their game plan. Most importantly, the team stuck together. It has shown through their chemistry here in these playoffs.

Fans react to Pacers’ dominant victory

NBA fans have reacted on social media to the Pacers taking a 3-1 series lead. They were particularly impressed by Tyrese Haliburton’s 32-point, 12-rebound, and 15-assist triple-double.

The Pacers have only made the NBA Finals one time. This occurred in 2000, where Indiana lost to the Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers.

If the Pacers do reach the Finals, fans in Indiana will go bonkers. The Hoosier state deserves to see their team back on basketball’s biggest stage.

Indiana’s only problem will be how to figure out the Oklahoma City Thunder’s defense, as OKC will be their likely opponent. No team has figured it out yet, but if any can, it is the Pacers.
