The Michigan Wolverines fought through offensive shooting struggles with tough defense on Monday to take down the UConn Huskies and secure their first national championship since 1989.
While Michigan fans were understandably joyful, many college basketball fans were upset at the officiating of Monday’s game.

The basketball world was clearly furious with how the officiating affected both the flow and the outcome of the game.
While the Wolverines did indeed have a 33-15 advantage in free throw attempts, that’s not uncommon with Michigan playing an offense geared towards getting to the rim and getting to the line.
Despite the noise online, the Wolverines are likely to celebrate and enjoy this victory all the same.
