Deandre Ayton is the newest center for the Los Angeles Lakers. This signing was huge for the Lakers, as LA was missing a true big since trading Anthony Davis away.

After the trade that saw LA bring in Luka Doncic, the Lakers knew they needed a center. They immediately went out and secured big man Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets.

This looked to be a good pickup for the Lakers, but the trade was quickly rescinded. Apparently, Williams failed his physical which killed the trade.

To this day there are still rumors floating around about if that failed physical was real or not.

Naturally, the move to sign Ayton caused mixed reactions from fans. Some love the move, while others instantly cracked jokes about it.

If Lakers fans are right, LA will be a top contender next season. If all other fans are right, it will be another disappointing season in Tinseltown.
