Fans blitz Yankees on social media after three straight losses to Red Sox

The New York Yankees may be at the top of the American League East, but their last three outings have not been pretty. On Saturday, they took a 4-1 defeat to mark their third straight loss to the Boston Red Sox, who sit at last place in the division.

As Jake Bennett had a strong six innings on the mound for Boston, Yankees ace Gerrit Cole continued to struggle and gave up seven hits in four runs in just over five innings.

Like all teams, the Yankees post their final scores to social media, regardless of who wins. When the team posted the final score for Saturday’s loss, fans did not receive it well.

Yankees fans clearly aren’t happy with the way the team looks right now and their woes may continue if the Yankees give up a series sweep on Sunday.
