Former NBA forward Ed Davis will plead guilty in a federal sports betting case, according to a court docket entry filed Friday, November 6, 2026.

Davis, 37, previously entered a not guilty plea to four charges: bribery in sporting contests, wire fraud conspiracy, and two related counts. A federal judge ordered a magistrate to schedule a hearing for the plea change.

He is one of six people charged in the case. Prosecutors allege Davis collaborated with former NBA guard Malik Beasley on a gambling operation that sought to influence the outcomes of at least four games during the 2023–24 season. Beasley, then with the Milwaukee Bucks, allegedly accepted payments to underperform; prosecutors say some funds went toward repaying debts Beasley owed Davis.

Beasley agreed last week to plead guilty under a deal with prosecutors. He is set to formally enter that plea at a hearing on December 9.

Davis played 12 seasons in the NBA for eight franchises. He last appeared in a game in 2022 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He and Beasley were teammates during the 2020–21 season.

Paolo Zamorano, Davis’s former agent, remains the only defendant who has not pleaded guilty or indicated an intention to do so.

Davis’s attorney John Adams declined further comment beyond the docket filing. A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York also declined to comment.
