Drake Maye makes MVP statement in win over Jets

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye put on a show against the New York Jets, throwing five touchdowns in the Patriots 42-10 victory. The Patriots now sit at 13-3, and are currently the two seed in the AFC.

Maye showed no struggles today against the Jets. In the first half alone, Maye went 17/19 for 229 yards and four touchdowns. Maye would throw his fifth touchdown early in the third quarter, which would be his last throw of the game before backup Joshua Dobbs took over.

Entering today, the MVP race had narrowed down to a two-man race. Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford led the way as the MVP favorite with Maye not far behind in second place. Stafford and the Rams play on Monday night against the Falcons, and may need a strong showing to stay as the MVP favorite.
