Damian Lillard hits game-winning shot against Houston Rockets

Damian Lillard trying to drive past Fred VanVleet

The Milwaukee Bucks completed a 13-point comeback on Monday night to beat the Houston Rockets 101-100. After a tremendous block by Giannis Antetokounmpo with 19.7 seconds left to play, the Bucks pushed the ball up the floor and Damian Lillard hit an athletic layup to give Milwaukee a one-point lead with 3.9 seconds left to go.

The Rockets never got a shot off and the Bucks came away with the victory, snapping Houston’s five-game winning streak.

The rockets did a solid job of covering Antetokounmpo, who finished with 20 points, 13 rebounds and eight turnovers. Brook Lopez stepped up for Milwaukee and finished with 27 points, ten rebounds and four blocks.

For the Rockets, Fred VanVleet led the way with 26 points, six rebounds and five assists while Jalen Green had a 21-point and nine-rebound performance.

Monday night’s win marks the Bucks’ third victory in the last four games, a welcome sign for Milwaukee fans that have been dealing with strong uncertainty early this season. They will host the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday while the Rockets host the Pacers on Tuesday as well.
