The Chicago Bulls are once again surfacing as a team to watch in the Jonathan Kuminga sweepstakes. The Golden State Warriors forward’s role continues to shrink and league-wide trade chatter intensifies.

According to reporting from Marc Stein, Chicago has been “advised to monitor” Kuminga’s situation, especially once the 23‑year‑old becomes trade‑eligible on January 15.

Kuminga opened the season as a starter but has since fallen out of Steve Kerr’s rotation. He now finds himself sitting behind younger depth pieces such as Will Richard and Gui Santos.

His recent healthy scratch against the Bulls only amplified speculation about his future. Golden State is expected to explore deals ahead of the February 5 deadline.

Chicago, meanwhile, has stumbled after a promising start. They may be motivated to add an athletic, high-upside forward to stabilize its roster.

The Bulls have been linked to Kuminga multiple times over the past year, and Stein notes they remain a “team to watch” as the Warriors weigh their options.

With Kuminga’s trade eligibility approaching and his role in doubt, the Bulls’ interest adds another layer to what is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing storylines of this trade season.
