Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball emerged unscathed from a two-vehicle accident in Uptown Charlotte on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Trade Street and North Tryon Street.
According to reports, Ball was behind the wheel of his custom camouflage 2022 Hummer, traveling west on Trade Street, when he attempted a left turn onto Tryon Street. His SUV struck a gray Kia sedan heading eastbound, causing significant damage to both vehicles.

The Hummer lost its left-front tire, while the Kia’s front end was severely impacted. Emergency services responded promptly, and the Kia’s driver was transported to a local hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses captured footage showing Ball, dressed in a Hornets hoodie, exiting the damaged Hummer and quickly entering a waiting Lamborghini before departing the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances, but no charges have been mentioned yet.
Ball played in the Hornets game on Thursday, which was against the Houston Rockets. He scored 11 points in 31 minutes as Charlotte fell 105-101 to Houston.
