While the Denver Nuggets have a respectable 11-8 record at eight place in the Western Conference, they’ve not been as dominant as expected. NBA hall-of-famer Charles Barkley has taken notice and during halftime of Denver’s Tuesday night win, encouraged the Nuggets to get more help around Nikola Jokic.
“I hope they make a trade. You cannot waste the Joker’s career. He is the best player in the world,” Barkley said. “They let two guys go off the bench that were very vital to them winning the championship. Their bench is weaker than water…”

“You cannot waste this guy’s prime. This guy is the best player in the world, Barkley continued. “Get greedy.”
Jokic’s running mate Jamal Murray is struggling this season and averaging just 16 points per game on highly inefficient shooting. While he’ll likely get back on track over time, the Nuggets certainly don’t appear to be the same title contender they were a few seasons ago.
