The Montreal Canadiens offense completely dismantled the Buffalo Sabres defense, winning by a final score of 6-3. They now lead the series 3-2.

The first period got off to a hot start, with a total of five goals being scored by five different players. The Sabres got edge and lead 3-2, with their goals coming from Jason Zucker, Josh Doan, and Konsta Helenius. Cole Caufield and Alexandre Texier.

However, the Canadiens went on to score four unanswered. Josh Anderson tied the game early in the second before Jake Evans gave the Canadiens their first lead of the game. Nick Suzuki scored to make it 5-3, and Ivan Demidov added the cherry on top to make it 6-3.

It was a rough outing for Sabres goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. He saved 18 of 23 shots and was replaced by Alex Lyon. It was his second time getting pulled this postseason.

Game 6 will be in Montreal on Saturday, May 16, at 8 p.m. ET.
