Cal Poly Mustangs Beat Cal State San Marcos 78–62 in Season Opener

Cal Poly opened its men’s college basketball season with a 78–62 win over Cal State San Marcos on Monday.

Cal Poly Mustangs men's basketball defeated Cal State San Marcos Cougars 78–62 on Monday in its season opener.

Hamad Mousa scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Cayden Ward recorded 15 points, 11 rebounds and five assists — shooting 6 of 10 from the field and 2 of 5 from 3-point range. Guzman Vasilic added 13 points, making 4 of 8 shots and 3 of 6 three-pointers.
