The Brooklyn Nets made history in the 2025 NBA by drafting five players. The players selected were Egor Demin (No. 8), Nolan Traore (No. 19), Drake Powell (No. 22), Ben Saraf (No. 26), and Danny Wolf (No. 27).

Wolf’s selection was filled with emotions as the camera kept panning on him as teams passed him. The Nets decided to take a chance, so hopefully Wolf can deliver.

The Nets are clearly building for the future and their historic selections prove this. Unfortunately for Brooklyn, not everyone watching was a fan of the Nets’ selections.

“I got some people telling me some things about Brooklyn. People are making fun of these drafters,” ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said.

“I got people saying to me, executives and agents, they’re like, ‘I was watching them play three two-way guys during this year so that they can clap for taking the guys they’ve chosen.’ He’s like, ‘These two-way guys might be just as good as the guys they’ve taken.'”

Are the Nets making a mockery of themselves? Or will each of their draft selections prove the doubters wrong by building Brooklyn up to he an all-around talented team, similar to what we saw with the Indiana Pacers?

Only time will tell.
